The president of a Jacksonville-based golf course ownership and management company has joined the JEA board of directors.
MG Orender of Hampton Golf will fill a vacancy left by the departure of Marty Lanahan, who had served on the JEA board since April 2020 and previously from 2001-05, according to a media release from JEA. The Jacksonville City Council approved Orender’s appointment June 11. 4 Wheel Drive Golf Cart
Hampton Golf owns or manages 32 golf courses in Florida, New York, Ohio, Minnesota and Tennessee, the release said.
Lanahan is a regional president and executive vice president of First Horizon Bank.
