The Great Search: PCB-mount USB Type C Plug #TheGreatSearch #DigiKey @DigiKey @adafruit « Adafruit Industries – Makers, hackers, artists, designers and engineers!

This week on the Great Search, we’re going to be looking for the Type C version of the USB A plugs we have on some of our boards, like our Bluefruit Friend. This will let us make our Trinkey’s modern-friendly and will let them be plugged in directly into USB C.

The only problem is we want a connector that can be pick-and-placed and does not need manual insertion on the end of a PCB like many of the connectors we’ve seen in the field. Let’s see what’s available at DigiKey! Source Components
