Police said one person is dead following a reported shooting at a southeast Colorado Springs townhouse complex Saturday afternoon.
Colorado Springs police responded to the 2600 block of Stonecrop Ridge Grove around 3:30 p.m., when they found one person suffering from injuries.
Life-saving attempts were unsuccessful, and the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police described the apparent shooting as an isolated event, although no one was in custody as of 6 p.m. Saturday. An empty maroon-colored SUV remained at the scene shortly after 7 p.m.
