Intimate Sorolla: The limited (and numbered) edition book on the passion for the painter's art and family

In a luxury exhibitor case made in upper methacrylate with the name of the engraved and lateral painter made of painted iron there is a set composed of an art book with 71 drawings of intimate and everyday scenes, many of whom never moved to the canvas since the painter made them for himself; a book of studies, which brings together great experts from the figure of Sorolla, including his great-grandson Blanca Pons-Sorolla; An exclusive large format art sheet and, finally, an epistolary in which letters exchanged between Joaquín and his wife Clotilde meet from 1891 to 1919 that they had never been shared before to the public.

Blanca Pons-Sorolla, great-grandson of the artist and president of the Permanent Commission of the Sorolla Museum Foundation; Consuelo Luca de Tena Navarro, art historian and former director of the Sorolla Museum in the Ministry of Culture; and Covadonga Pitarch Angulo, head of the Marketing and Sponsorships of the Gallery of the Royal and former conservative collections of the Sorolla Museum, are those who, among other experts, participate in the book of studies to present the context and the detailed explanation of the contents of this exclusive piece.

For its part, the epistolary brings together three decades of love in 210 letters written between 1891 and 1919, exchanged between Joaquín Sorolla and his wife. For the first time the correspondence of Clotilde García del Castillo is published, until now unpublished, so important due to the long trip of the painter. They see the paradigm of a relationship of the time with all its nuances and forms. Love, devotion and intimacy, but also a deep respect and mutual admiration. From his concerns as parents and the painter's artistic activities, to the socio -economic conditions of a bourgeois family of the moment.
