Up-and-coming moto gear brand Gryphon has announced an update to its gear lineup for 2024, including new adventure riding jackets and mesh jackets for men and women. Plastic Bucket Elevator
An ADV jacket made of 600D anti-abrasion fabric, with the shoulders beefed up to 1680D material. There’s a mesh inner liner for comfort, and a removable full-sleeve thermal liner that also sheds rain. For comfort, there are adjusters on wrist, bicep, hip and waist sections of the jacket. There’s also a set of four large air intake vents on the front of the jacket, and a massive drop-down panel on the back, to allow a breeze to flow through when everything’s open. The collar is made of neoprene for a non-chafing fit. The front of the jacket has four large cargo pockets; there’s also a rear carry pocket, and internal pockets which can be used for concealed carry, if that’s something you need.
Removable AAA CE Level 2 armor comes standard in back, elbows and shoulders.
Gryphon says the zippers are high-quality, from YKK, which is something worth paying for. At this point, the only colors available are black and olive green, with men’s sizes SM-4XL.

This is a mesh jacket that’s supposed to be sort of ADV-esque as well. Like the Ozark jacket, the main parts are made of 600D anti-abrasive fabric, but on the Badwater jacket, there’s also a lot of high-airflow mesh built in. A softshell rain jacket keeps water at bay. The rain jacket is intended to be worn over the mesh jacket, and there are even pockets for the mesh jacket’s removable AAA CE Level 2 shoulder/back/elbow armor, so you can wear that hard padding in the rain jacket if wanted.
YKK zippers come standard again, with two large cargo pockets on the side, one in the back a neoprene collar, removable kidney belt, two-way zippers on the wrists for airflow, and an 8-inch zipper to connect your pants and jacket.
Silo Bucket Elevator It comes in men’s SM-4XL sizes, and women’s XS-4XL. The only color available is gray and asking price is $339.95 – $359.95 for either men’s or women’s sizes.
