Guy Fieri wants to bring Flavortown to your kitchen (and not just through your TV). His latest cookware launch, the Flavortown Laser Titanium 12-piece Cookware Set (available at Amazon for $349.99) offers groundbreaking technology thanks to its chemical-free laser titanium coating, nonstick performance, and durability that can withstand metal utensils and 700°F oven heat. Due to the laser titanium material, each pot and pan is lightweight and dishwasher-safe. And although you have to season the pans prior to use, we think that's worth the effort in order to retain its truly nonstick capabilities (without any coating). This set comes with larger pots and pans, so for another PFAS-free set with smaller pots and skillets, check out the GreenPan Valencia Pro. Foodwarmer

About The Guy Fieri Flavortown Laser Titanium 12-piece Cookware Set

How we tested the Guy Fieri Flavortown Laser Titanium 12-piece Cookware Set

What we don’t like

Should you buy the Guy Fieri Flavortown Laser Titanium Cookware Set?

This laser titanium cookware set does require the home cook to season each pot and pan prior to cooking, which is tedious but worth the time investment.

In partnership with Mon Chateau, a premium lifestyle company that produces housewares, cookware products, and linens, Guy Fieri’s Flavortown brand recently released its own line of cookware.

The laser titanium hard anodized cookware collection features the newest technology of laser-infused titanium (currently patent pending), which features both nonstick properties and durability without the use of any chemical coatings (similar to what we've seen with the new Titanium Always Pan Pro).

The brand encourages users to season the pans upon first use and cook with small amounts of oil or butter to achieve the same nonstick properties as coated nonstick cookware.

This 12-piece set includes 8.5-inch and 10-inch skillets, a 2-quart and a 4-quart saucepan, a 5-quart sautépan, an 8-quart stock pot, and a 5-quart Dutch oven. Except for the two skillets, all other pieces come with accompanying glass lids that are oven-safe up to 500°F.

The construction of each pot and pan uses lasers to fuse a titanium alloy to the surface, making each cooking vessel three times harder than stainless steel, safe for use with metal utensils, and free from any chemical coatings on the surface.

The Guy Fieri Flavortown Laser Titanium set retails at $349.99 for all 12 pieces. But if you'd rather dip your toes in with a smaller set of pans, the brand also offers a 3-piece fry pan set for $99.

After seasoning each skillet, the Laser Titanium cookware has a reliably nonstick surface.

Each pot and pan included in the Guy Fieri Flavortown Laser Titanium Cookware Set was put through a wide array of recipe testing and cooking techniques to check for hot spots, scorching, and most importantly, any sticking or challenges to release foods from the cooking surfaces.

We sautéed a basic mirepoix, simmered pomodoro sauce, boiled pasta, and cooked a few batches of white rice.

We seared and braised bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs to assess protein textures, and we fried multiple eggs to check for true nonstick capabilities.

Throughout this testing, we assessed the comfort of handling each pot and pan, any temperature variation of the handles and glass lids, and the ease of the cleanup process by both hand-washing and the recommended dishwashing.

After following the provided instructions for seasoning each pot and pan ourselves, we were impressed with the nonstick performance of the entire set.

From the frying of each egg to the searing of the chicken thighs, each ingredient released with ease from the pan and never got stuck or charred on the cooking surface.

An initial layer of seasoning, plus preheating each pot and pan over medium heat for just a few minutes, is all that's needed to enjoy the benefits of this new laser titanium nonstick technology.

Wiping down each pot and pan after cooking required no elbow grease.

While the care instructions of this Guy Fieri cookware set state the pots and pans are dishwasher-safe, we thought that a simple hand-washing session in the sink with a non-abrasive sponge and dish soap worked very well for a quick, thorough cleanup.

When seasoned properly, we found that each pot and pan yields true nonstick capabilities, which results in very simple cleaning once the cookware has cooled. For ultimate convenience, this set is dishwasher-safe for even easier clean-up in the kitchen. It’s recommended to wipe away any remaining cooking bits or residue prior to popping in the dishwasher, but there is no need to worry of any harsh chemical coatings getting damaged or scratched during cooking and cleaning.

When we did run a few pots and pans through the dishwasher, there was still a film of pomodoro sauce inside the saucepan, and one skillet appeared to have a film on its underside. This could be a dishwasher performance issue, but also given how much space cookware takes up, we don't recommend this method.

With how easy it is to hand-wash these nonstick pans, we recommend cleaning this set the old-fashioned way, which will likely also prolong their durability and quality.

This cookware set is well built, lightweight, and comfortable to handle.

Despite the large size of some pots included in this set, we were impressed with how lightweight—yet sturdy— they were when maneuvering around the kitchen.

The titanium alloy makes these pans three times harder than stainless steel, but the construction of each piece still feels comfortable to handle from stovetop to oven.

Additionally, we found that the handles did not become too hot during the cooking process and are not too weighted themselves.

With oven-safe capabilities up to 700°F, this cookware set is truly dynamic and incredibly versatile for the home cook. Each pot and pan can move from the stovetop to the oven without fear of warping, and the size of both the Dutch oven and sauté pan are five quarts—which can hold a generous amount of portions.

The laser titanium build of this cookware set is also metal utensil-safe since there's no coating to risk scratching. Given titanium's innate hardness, this set is corrosion-resistant and long-lasting—especially when compared to traditional nonstick cookware, which is prone to scratches and deterioration.

Due to tapered sides, each skillet has a somewhat reduced surface area for direct heat cooking.

While the sauté pans and stock pots are larger than what’s normally included in a cookware set, we noticed the 8-inch and 10-inch skillets are less spacious. They both have a significant taper that minimizes the surface area for cooking.

When sautéing the mirepoix, we felt the need to constantly stir the vegetables so there could be continuous contact with the cooking surface. We had to push the vegetables back into the base of the pan so that ingredients would cook evenly.

Although the pans are technically eight and 10 inches in diameter, you'll have much less flat cooking surface to work with, due to the way they're designed.

Expect to put aside some time to season this cookware before you start cooking.

Don’t expect to open the box and get cooking right away!

While there is no manual included in the Guy Fieri Flavortown cookware packaging, there is a thoughtful (and important!) card that provides a thoroughly detailed seasoning process to yield successful nonstick results.

Comprising three steps, the seasoning process starts with washing the pots and pans with water before placing them on the stove. Next, heat them to medium-low until each pan reaches 300°F, then add some cooking oil to coat the bottom and the sides of each cookware piece.

Then, finally, crank up your ventilation and heat the oil just until it smokes, turn off the heat, and leave each pot and pan for 2-3 hours before cleaning them, and enjoy!

Though a bit tedious, the process is well worth the success rate for enjoying these pans for the long haul.

We took the time to perform this on all pots and pans, and despite the waiting time, we are very happy with the results.

Don't be surprised to find discoloration under these pans after a few uses.

After only a couple of uses and testing, we noticed a few pieces had some minor discoloration on the undersides of the pan.

Even after a run through the dishwasher and a generous hand washing session, the bottoms of the pans had some slight browning and staining that doesn’t seem to easily come off.

Perhaps this can depend on the type of stovetop the home cook has, but it is important to note that it could become a future detriment to the longevity of this cookware set.

Braising and searing chicken resulted in crispy skin and evenly cooked vegetables in the 5-quart sautépan.

We feel confident that the Guy Fieri Flavortown 12-piece Cookware Set is a sound investment as a comprehensive, nonstick cookware set that will maintain its slick interior for the long haul.

This set offers a reasonable price tag for such an ample set of pots and pans that are durable and non-toxic, without any harmful PFAS or easily flaking ceramic coating.

However, if you need pieces that are slightly smaller for your kitchen, or you're looking for ceramic cookware, then consider the GreenPan Valencia Pro set instead.

The Guy Fieri Flavortown Laser Titanium Cookware Set makes for a durable nonstick addition to the kitchen at an affordable price.
