Crews had been repairing a water gate valve on Hazel Avenue when water pressure temporarily dropped, prompting the Department of Public Services to issue a precautionary advisory, according to the City of Kalamazoo.
Expected to last 72 hours, the advisory remains in effect for the following areas:
There have not been confirmed tests showing bacteria present in the water main near the water gate valve repair, city officials said.
Water customers are asked to use bottled water for eating or drinking, or boil their water for two minutes before use.
