The Orioles' 40-man roster is now full, and their Spring Training roster is up to 60 players.

Feb. 7: INF/OF Nick Maton acquired from Tigers in exchange for cash considerations Maton, who was designated for assignment by Detroit on Monday, has appeared in 179 big league games over the past three seasons. The 26-year-old utility man played for the Phillies in 2021 and '22, before getting traded to the Tigers last offseason. In 2023, he slashed .173/.288/.305 with nine doubles, eight home runs and 32 RBIs in 93 games for Detroit.

It's the second trade between the Orioles and Tigers this offseason, as Baltimore also acquired infielder Tyler Nevin in exchange for cash considerations on Jan. 22.

RHP Félix Bautista (Tommy John surgery) Expected return: Spring Training 2025 Bautista, who had Tommy John surgery last October, underwent right elbow debridement and an ulnar nerve transposition on Feb. 9 in Dallas. Dr. Keith Meister performed both the Tommy John surgery and the additional procedures.

His reconstructed right UCL continues to heal well, and his recovery timeline won’t be affected. The Orioles still expect the All-Star closer to return for the start of the 2025 season.
