The Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has hailed the Late Matthew Omodayo Owotuga Foundation on its recent donation of 300-seater lecture theatre at Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH) in Okitipupa, Ondo State.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who was represented by his Special Adviser on Education, Olawunmi Ilawole, expressed gratitude to the Owotuga family for their generous donation. 

Speaking on behalf of the family, Felix Omodayo Owotuga, expressed their dedication to giving back to the community of Ode-Irele, where their father hailed from. 

He emphasised the profound significance of education to their father and urged students to utilise the facility judiciously, bearing in mind the generations to come.

The Late Matthew Omodayo Owotuga Foundation, a non-profit and non-political organisation established a decade ago, has consistently served humanity. 

According to Nelson Ogede, representing the foundation, the completion of the lecture theatre aligns with its objectives and underscores the commitment to community development, particularly in the Ondo South Senatorial District.

He highlighted the transformative impact the lecture theatre would have on future leaders’ teaching and learning experiences.

In addition to the ceremony at OAUSTECH, a Thanksgiving service was held at a church in Ajah on Sunday, April 28th. The service was attended by friends of the family from different walks of life, further highlighting the significance of the Owotuga family’s contributions to both education and community development.

Furthermore, the Late Matthew Omodayo Owotuga Foundation announced a scholarship offer for deserving students in Ondo State. This initiative underscores the foundation’s commitment to empowering Nigerian youth and providing opportunities for the less privileged.
