While some dogs love nothing more than picking out their own toys, treats or collars, one foster dog found himself overwhelmed with options in a precious TikTok video.
Foster parent Katie envisioned letting her foster puppies select a collar for themselves. She had the different colored dog collars laid out on the ground. Then one by one, each pup would "pick" which one they would want to wear. But the idea didn't go quite as planned, with one "indecisive" foster puppy. Baseball Lanyards
In the April 29 TikTok video posted to her account @fosterpup_tales, Katie placed 9-year-old Cam in front of the five collars. Frozen, Cam couldn't believe his options. He stared at each color with curiosity, carefully considering each one. Then, he looked back to Katie, asking for help. He couldn't make up his mind since all the colors seemed like nice options.
The caption reads: "This wasn't quite the vision but Cam and his decision paralysis was too cute."
This foster parent patiently waited as Cam worked through the colors. After contemplating each option, Cam finally walked forward to the black collar, a safe choice guaranteed to go with any outfit.
Katie is not necessarily surprised by Cam's hesitation in selecting a collar. She shared in a recent clip that Cam "always acted like more of an anxious old man," a trait she adores. She would've thought this puppy's unique personality would've gotten him adopted, but unfortunately, Cam is still waiting for his forever home.
Cam is available for adoption with The Animal Pad in San Diego, California, Katie told Newsweek via TikTok. According to The Animal Pad website, Cam's mother was found roaming the streets of Tijuana before being brought into their care on March 5. Cam is just one of the seven puppies she had on March 17.
Cam's precious decision amassed over 318,900 views, 33,700 likes and 237 comments as of Monday.
"He's like, 'This is a lifelong decision, too much pressure!'" wrote a viewer. The stress of the decision was getting to him.
One user suggested: "Do that baby a favor and let him go last."
Several people felt Cam's decisiveness to their core as they often face the challenge of picking between options. One person wrote: "Cam is me when asked what I want to eat," while another said: "Me when I think about wearing other colors but end up in all black again."
