Pamela Jean (Parda) Daniel, 68, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 16, 2024 after a courageous battle with uterine cancer, and rejoined her beloved son, Jared, in heaven.

Born and raised in Worcester, Massachusetts, Pam graduated from Burncoat Senior High School in 1974. She then graduated from David Hale Fanning School of Health Occupations as a Medical Assistant. After that, her career in the Clinical Laboratory at Memorial Hospital began. Pam worked as a phlebotomist, a Laboratory Assistant in Chemistry, and in the Laboratory Outsource/Send Out Department of the Hospital. She became a member of the ASCP – American Society of Clinical Pathologists – while working in the lab and published an article in LABMEDICINE Magazine in 2007.

In 2006, she took a position as a Laboratory Assistant with Forensic Toxicology at UMass Memorial. This position led her to be nominated and she joined the Society of Forensic Toxicologists, otherwise known as S.O.F.T.

One of her proudest accomplishments was when she went back to school to Quinsigamond Community College, and received her Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Pamela began a position at the Massachusetts State Police Crime Lab as a Forensic Evidence Technician in 2013, where she worked until her illness forced her to retire.

Pam was a member of St. Joseph Church in Auburn, as well as a lifelong member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Worcester.

For enjoyment, Pam would work in her sewing room, where she made quilts for her family, and for donations to church charities. People in Auburn may remember the Christmas raffles at St. Joseph’s, where there was usually a handmade gift donated by Pam and Steve Daniel.

Pam leaves her beloved husband, Stephen E. Daniel, of Auburn; her loving children, Nathan Daniel and his wife Jessica, and Eric Daniel and his wife Jennifer; her sisters, Claudia Bauman and her husband Ken, and Sarahbeth Persiani and her husband Anthony; her most beloved grandbabies, Kylie, Aria, Aidan, Lacey Jean, and Chace. She also leaves her brother, Daniel W. Parda, of Florida; her sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Gayle and William Earley, and William and Kim Daniel; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her middle son, Jared E. Daniel; her sister, Louanne Parda; and her parents, Boleslaw “Ben” Parda and Carolyn F. (Salmonson) Parda.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to UMass Memorial Oncology via https://www.ummhealth.org/giving/ways-to-give (specify ‘Oncology’ in the Notes).

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Daniel family from 4 – 7 PM on Monday, June 24, 2024 at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central St., Auburn. Her funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday June 25th at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 200 Greenwood St., Worcester – kindly proceed directly to church, please. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery. To leave a note of condolence for her family, or to share a fond memory, please visit http://brittonfuneralhomes.com
