Mother's Day gift idea: Create your own Stanley tumbler

Amid all the craze over the Stanley tumblers, many are bee-lining to Target, REI, Walmart, the Stanley website and Amazon to try to get their hands on one. Stanley cup fans feel lucky to have found one in their favorite color before it sells out, and even luckier if they were able to buy the limited-edition Starbucks Stanley in bright pink.

However, one thing many tumbler enthusiasts aren’t aware of is that they can customize their Stanley cups on the Stanley website. Personalizations can include a customer’s original text, monogram or graphic engraved on the cup.

A personalized Stanley cup could make the perfect Mother’s Day gift for a loved one who is an existing fan of the cult-favorite cup or for someone who might not be too familiar with the trend yet. You could introduce them to the Stanley frenzy with something unique to their interests.

Here’s how you can turn a Stanley cup into a one-of-a-kind collectible:

This is the official Stanley website.

On the website’s main menu, there are clickable options for “Hydration,” “Shop,” “Customize” and “Explore.”

On the Customize page, shoppers have the option to choose their cup style to add their own personal spin to.

Stanley sells many different water bottles, traveler coffee mugs and other drinkware — if those options fit your loved one’s fancy, feel free to customize them how you want.

However, the Stanley cup that is gaining a rapid following at the moment is called the Quencher H2.0 Flowstate Tumbler, most popularly sold in the 40-ounce option. This is what most people are referring to when they say they want a “Stanley cup.”

Once you’ve selected the perfect cup — get creative with customization. Add text expressing your love or maybe a graphic showing something your person is passionate about, like cats, dogs, mountains or the beach.

You can even upload your own design — just be aware, you can only add one custom engravement per cup. Engravings are an extra $10 to $13 per cup.

Stanley also launched a Mother's Day tumbler collection featuring three colorways. Click here to view them.

According to Stanley, shipments usually ship within one business day of ordering and take 5-7 business days to arrive with standard shipping. To get your order in time for May 12, be sure to get your order in by Friday, May 3!
