The driver was not injured, and no other vehicles were involved in the crash. Black Gold Transport said in a press release that the ore, which is still in its natural rock state, will be recovered completely and processed as normal.

Alaska State Troopers (AST) said that the highway was closed for one hour while they along with Salcha Fire and Rescue responded to help recover the truck from the ditch.

AST said that no citations have currently been issued, and that the investigation is ongoing.
