I Discover the Best Amazon Finds, and I Swear By These $20-and-Under Storage Organizers

Small home living isn’t for the faint of heart; you have to use every inch of space, keep items tidy, and store them in their proper place. If not, you’re left with a space that feels cramped, cluttered, and downright scary. I learned that first hand after buying my NYC home and quickly found clever home organizers that’ll make a professional proud—all $20 and under.

My insights as Real Simple’s Amazon shopping expert definitely came in handy while browsing storage essentials for my home. And after years of in-house testing, I can confirm that items like under-the-sink organizers, floating shelves, and adhesive racks are essential to optimizing space. Many picks like these are quietly hiding in Amazon’s Storage and Organization section and are also from big brands I love, including Oxo, Madesmart, Honey-Can-Do, and Souper Cubes with prices starting at $10.

Utilizing the space in your cabinetry just might be one of the smartest things you’ll ever do when it comes to organization. Why? Cabinets hide away the bottles, cleaners, and sponges—all the things you need, but don’t necessarily want to look at. That’s why I purchased this Madesmart organizer that has a two-tier design, which essentially creates more storage out of the dead space. The baskets have a slide-out design that acts like drawers and even comes with a divider to separate small items like dish soap and laundry detergent pods. You can get it in five styles, including black, gray, and clear.

While floating shelves are more for aesthetics, I like the idea of using typically unused space as another storage opportunity. These wall-mounted shelves are currently in my bedroom, displaying faux plants, cards, and candles (all things that would normally go on my already-cluttered dresser). I chose these specifically for the gold brackets, which gives them a more elevated look and ties in with the other metal details around my home. The shelves can withstand up to 40 pounds, and since they’re drilled into the wall, I don’t worry about them falling. Plus, they have this cute hanging design that I particularly like. However, you can also hang them upside down for a different look.

As someone who cooks in some way, shape, or form daily, my kitchen is fully stocked with food. Right now,  I’m big into soups, but I simply cannot eat the same thing more than two times a week. It’s why I invested in these affordable yet genius Souper Cubes trays to stash the leftovers and pop it in the freezer. It has five compartments with half and 1-cup measurements labeled inside, making it ideal for single servings. Since it’s made with silicone, the pockets are easy to push food out for reheating, too. In addition to soups, I’ve also stored meat sauces, shredded chicken cacciatore, and Thai takeout curries in these.
