SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Emergency crews found a 35-year-old Valley Springs man deceased at the scene of a motorcycle crash Wednesday morning.
Around 1 a.m. on June 12, crews responded to E. Benson Road at its intersection with N. Sycamore Ave for a motorcycle crash. Upon arrival, the operator of the motorcycle was found deceased. Spring Snap Button
The investigation revealed that the motorcycle was southbound on Sycamore and failed to negotiate the intersection of E. Benson Road and collided with a parked car. Speed is believed to be a contributing factor.
The driver was identified as a 35-year-old Valley Springs area resident, but his name has not been released pending family notification.
The use of a helmet and safety equipment is still under investigation. Traffic officers handled the investigation and a UAS/drone was utilized for aerial photos.
