Various types of filtration media are available for use with the SP Series of spin-on filters, enabling customization to specific hydraulic system application needs. Available filter media types include absolute rated micro-glass, nominally rated cellulose and stainless-steel woven wire mesh.

No matter which type of filter media is selected, the spin-on filter is capable of capturing and retaining contaminants as small as 3 microns. This ensures the cleanliness of hydraulic oil flowing through a system which is key to maintaining performance.

The filters include bypass settings to enable use for both suction and pressure applications, and can also be used as a hydraulic reservoir breather to protect a reservoir from contamination. For the latter, a breather adapter is available for the SP Series filter. It features an all-aluminum construction and 3/4 male NPT tank mount.

Filters supplied with micro-glass filtration media are available with water removal options to aid with specific contamination removal requirements. A range of other accessories or optional features are available as well. These include 25 psi bypass settings, a 5 psi suction setting as well as pressure and vacuum gauges.
