Shanghai, April 24, 2024 – LyondellBasell (LYB), a global leader in chemical innovation, and Zhengxin Packaging Co. Ltd, renowned for its expertise in producing PE (polyethylene) heat shrink film, have announced a collaboration to advance heat shrink film technology that is used for beverage bottles and tetra pack packaging. The new high-performance packaging solution utilizes LYB Circulen Recover PE sourced from post-consumer plastic waste. With recycled content potentially reaching up to 60% in heat shrink film, the collaboration offers one of the highest ratios in the industry, providing a compelling, sustainable solution.
The collaboration between both companies comes at a critical time when the demand for more sustainable packaging materials is on the rise.
