WILTSHIRE, England (KMID/KPEJ) – Just Stop Oil protesters sprayed orange powder on Stonehenge, the iconic megalithic structure near Salisbury, on Wednesday, June 19.

Footage released by Just Stop Oil shows the action, which was part of its campaign to end the extraction and burning of oil, gas, and coal by 2030. The group said the orange powder would “wash away with the rain.”

This comes shortly before the Summer Solstice, which is traditionally celebrated by thousands at Stonehenge.

The Wiltshire Police had not responded to requests for comment.
