AutomationDirect Expands Flow Sensor Line with Endress+Hauser Picomag Series | Machine Design

AutomationDirect has added the Endress+Hauser Picomag Series magnetic-inductive flowmeters to its range of flow sensors. They are designed to provide reliable and accurate measurement and monitoring of conductive liquids, including drinking and industrial water, with a minimum conductivity of 10 µ S/cm.

Key features of the Picomag flowmeters include: siemens plc controller module

The Picomag series flowmeters enable simultaneous measurement of flow, temperature and volume, which allows the user to gather comprehensive data for liquid processes. Users also have the option to configure two selectable I/O points for analog current or voltage output, pulse or switch outputs, IO-Link connection or status inputs for totalizer reset; this aids compatibility and integration with existing systems.

Its large colored TFT display auto-rotates based on device orientation, and configuration parameters can be accessed by knocking on the device.

The flowmeter’s Bluetooth interface with free SmartBlue app enables seamless connectivity and control over the flowmeters. With a wireless connection distance up to 32 ft, the flowmeters are suitable for installation sites that are challenging to access. The IO-Link interface offers integration into established fieldbus systems. This interface allows direct access to process and diagnostics data as well as enabling on-the-fly device configuration.
