Alex Singleton is known for big hits.
The high-volume tackler has made a slew of plays from the center of Denver's defense, and he plays a physical brand of football. Pva Water Soluble Film
For a recent Mile High Sports feature, though, Singleton traded his shoulder pads for golf clubs and a trip to Fossil Trace Golf Course.
Singleton joined 2023 U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark as one of the cover athletes for Mile High Sports' golf issue, and he detailed his interest in the game.
"I would say for me, right now, it's 100 percent social," Singleton said in the story. "I play it to get away from football, but still be around the guys - just not talking football. I love the sport, but I'm not to the point where I want to get lessons and focus on it. Right now, it's just something to go hang out with the guys, hit some golf balls and just have a good time."
Singleton also described his inaugural trip to Augusta National for the Masters Tournament, shared his favorite courses in Colorado and lamented his urge to hit the ball as hard as possible on every shot.
And though Singleton said he's still aiming to break 100 for the first time, he holds plenty of belief in his game each time he steps on the course.
"When I wake up, if I'm going to go golfing, I assume I'm going to shoot par," Singleton said.

"Obviously, Pat [Surtain II] is one of the best corners in football, so if you're playing opposite of Pat, you're going to get most of the targets," Defensive Coordinator Vance Joseph said Wednesday. "That's part of it."
"It's incredible," Singleton said. "... It is night and day."
"I expect big things," CBS Sports' Chris Trapasso wrote.
"It was always [about] competition, and I think that's what drove the 'No-Fly Zone,'" Harris said.
"I take seriously sort of that role of being an ambassador for all the teams that I played for, but living here in Denver maybe even more so," Manning said.
"Developing diverse coaching talent through the Accelerator program is a key priority," NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement.
In a regrade of the 2021 NFL Draft, CBS Sports' Pete Prisco assessed his 2021 draft grades for each class and assigned a new mark for each team.
While Broncos Country will soon learn what the seven players bring on the field, we thought we'd provide an early look at who these players are as people.
Abrams-Draine and Franklin may have been Day 3 selections, but ESPN and The Athletic believe in the value they'll bring to Denver.

"I think the simple message [to the team] on Monday was, 'That's what we're doing right now,'" Payton said. "It's not football right now, it's getting our bodies [right]."
