Purdue University Northwest has installed an automatic gate kiosk at Gabis Arboretum in Valparaiso, Indiana, that will become active on Monday, Dec. 4, according to the university website.
Members will pull up to the payment kiosk and scan their membership card to open the gate. Once they pull through, the gate will close behind them. Members can also save a photo of their QR code on their phone to scan at the kiosk. Container Hospital Building
Non-members will pay the $10 per carload admission fee via credit card at the kiosk.
The kiosk has an intercom to call an employee to verify their membership information and open the gate remotely if the member forgets their card. The intercom will be staffed during normal business hours, Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
