A driver was killed and four kids riding as passengers were injured when their SUV collided with a dump truck at a Cumberland County intersection on Thursday morning, police said.

When she entered the intersection with Steep Run Road, a dump truck traveling north on Steep Run failed to stop at a stop sign and hit the side of the SUV, police said.

Woolson died of her injuries, while a 16-year-old girl who was a passenger in the SUV suffered moderate injuries, according to the police spokesman. Two 4-year-old boys and a 2-year-old girl in the SUV suffered minor injuries and all four children were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The dump truck driver, a 55-year-old Port Norris man, also suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital, police said.

The crash remains under investigation, according to police. No charges were announced as of Thursday evening.
