Here Are Some More Intel Z890 Motherboards For You To Check Out, From Colorful, Maxsun, & Gigabyte

Computex is a huge exhibition and sometimes, you could miss out on important stuff such as these Intel Z890 motherboards that were sitting in plain sight.

The Nangang Exhibition site where Computex exhibitors display their products is a huge place. It's multiple floors and there's even a 2nd exhibition site right in front of the main one which is just as big. We covered a range of Intel Z890 motherboards from a range of manufacturers including MSI, ASUS, Gigabyte, ASRock & Biostar but some were sitting in plain sight so I decided to share these few boards with our readers. You can also find our motherboard vendor's respective Z890 board coverage below: round heatsink

Starting with Colorful, the company displayed its next-gen Z890 iGame Ultra motherboard which is an ATX design featuring a white-colored PCB and some nice esthetics with the whole pink & blue hue going around the accent plates on the I/O cover, the VRM heatsinks and the PCH heatsink. The motherboard features the LGA 1851 socket which is powered by dual 8-pin connectors and it's an overclocking-ready design with loads of VRMs for Intel's next-gen Arrow Lake-S Desktop CPUs. It also comes with four M.2 slots, all of which are covered by heatsinks and you can expect a high-end price tag on this one. I/O includes four USB 2.0, four USB 3.2 10 Gbps and dual USB4 ports, HDMI + DP outputs, WIFI7, 2.5 GbE LAN, a 7.1 channel HD audio jack, and a Clear CMOS and BIOS flashback button.

Maxsun's next-gen Z890 Terminator motherboard was also on display and this board comes with a very powerful VRM design and features the LGA 1851 socket which supports next-gen Intel Arrow Lake CPUs and is powered by dual 8-pin connectors. The motherboard features black & silver colors. It has two PCIe x16 slots and two PCIe x1 slots. M.2 includes four slots of which two are covered by large heat sinks. I/O on the Z890 Terminator includes four USB 3.0, four USB 3.2 10 Gbps ports, a single USB4 Type-C port, HDMI+DP outputs, 2.5GbE LAN, and WIFI7 along with a 7.1 channel HD audio jack.

Gigabyte also had a few more Intel Z890 motherboards displayed at its Computex booth a day after its very own media showcase. The company has the mATX options in AORUS ELITE WIFI7 with a 12+1+2 phase power delivery, and the AORUS ELITE AX ICE with an awesome-looking white color palette. Gigabyte also showcased its pure white AERO G and AORUS PRO ICE motherboards that come in ATX form factors and also look great with some powerful designs that are built for Intel's next-gen Arrow Lake Desktop CPUs.

Now we shall talk about the ASRock Intel Z890 motherboard lineup designed for the Arrow Lake-S Desktop CPUs. ASRock has repositioned its entire lineup under its Taichi, Phantom Gaming, Steel Legend, LiveMixer, and Pro series, each aimed at a specific segment from high-end to mainstream and entry-level. We already looked at the ASRock Z890 motherboard lineup here so this is going to be more of a technical analysis of what the new motherboards have on offer.

Looking at the very top, the Taichi series will now encompass enthusiast-grade products such as Aqua, OCF, and Taichi itself (standard and LITE versions). The Phantom Gaming lineup includes the RIPTIDE, NOVA & Lightning SKUs while the PRO series gets Steel Legend, PRO RS, and PRO-A board varieties. With its next-gen Intel Z890 motherboards, ASRock will offer 2 USB4 Type-C (40 Gbps) ports across its entire lineup (minus the Pro-A and Pro-A WIFI).

ASRock also details its flagship Z890 Taichi Aqua which comes with an integrated VRM and M.2 waterblock which is perfect for cooling your motherboard and Gen5 SSDs with high-end liquid cooling solutions. The motherboard also features an impressive 10 Type-C ports, 2 of which are USB4. This makes the motherboard the first of its kind to feature such as high-end Type-C config. The cooling block has been designed in collaboration with Alphacool. As for the VRM, the board features an impressive 28+1+2+1+1 power phase with SPS power stages, all rated at 110 Amps.

ASRock has also updated its Intel Z890 motherboards to feature six M.2 slots by default of which one would be a Blazing M.2 config with Gen5x4 and four would be Hyper M.2 slots with Gen4x4 speeds. If six slots aren't enough for your storage needs, then ASRock will also provide its latest M.2 Expansion card that provides up to four Gen4x1 M.2 slots. All motherboards are also equipped with 20K capacitors with 1000uF capacitance, resulting in lower ripple, more stable current output, and better performance with stability.

The motherboard maker is also upgrading its next-gen motherboard releases with the latest GPU EZ release and M.2 toolless installation designs, making it easy for users to install or remove GPUs and M.2 SSDs. All motherboards besides the Pro-A series will also come with a bottom-side M.2 heatsink which dissipates heat through the PCB and into the heatsink below for better thermal performance on high-end Gen5 SSDs.

And lastly, ASRock details its Intel Z890 Taichi OCF CAMM II Edition motherboard which is ready for the next-gen CAMM2 modules. The motherboard comes with Kingston Fury Impact DDR5 CAMM2 32 GB modules and houses a CAMM2 compression connector to which these modules attach & are tightened into place using three screws. ASRock highlights that the CAMM2 modules enabled a smaller layout than SO-DIMM memory, feature lower power consumption, and enable faster DRAM speeds while offering much higher overclocking capabilities than traditional SO-DIMM designs.

Once again, Intel is expected to launch its next-gen Arrow Lake-S Desktop CPUs in October so we can expect a retail launch of these Z890 motherboards around a similar timeframe.
