Bulk materials handling manufacturer to exhibit Type SPL TR1 500/1300-L486 unit
VISITORS to the Mogensen stand at RWM 2016 will be able to see the company’s Type SPL TR1 500/1300-L486 single-deck vibratory screen (screen deck: 500mm x 1,300mm), which can perform standard screening/feeding and, due to its multi-angled mounting, can also act as a density sorter. The versatile machine has been specially designed to provide all three functions and can offer the option of material trials for customer applications.
A Mogensen spokesman said: ‘The trialling of customer specific material allows us to get a better understanding of the material characteristics and its flow rates, which, in turn, lets us select the most appropriate solution to their feeding, screening or sorting needs.’
The vibratory screen, driven by two Invicta Type BLz24-8/6 rotary electric vibrators, is fully self-contained with its own control panel. The angle of incline/decline of the screen deck, where possible, can be easily adjusted through an arc from –15° to +15° which provides control over the material velocity for screening and feeding actions.
In addition, when used at a incline, the machine performs a density sorting function (separating materials based on their difference in mass), with the lighter material moving up the deck to the exit while the heavier fractions fall back to exit behind the feed in section.
According to Mogensen, this delivers a simple yet effective separation of materials and has many uses in the recycling industry. The company’s screens, feeders and conveyors are widely used in the sector, handling various materials including: glass; wood waste; compost; recycled aggregates; and bone meal and other biomass materials.
