Movyon has created a new ITS safety system called High Sensitive Lane, which is an Intertraffic Awards 2024 finalist. Lorenzo Maraia, head of Traffic & Safety Management Solutions at Movyon, Autostrade per l’Italia Group, met TTi editor Tom Stone at Intertraffic Amsterdam to explain how the system works. The lights, filled with sensors can be installed onto crash barriers to not only light the road, but detect road conditions and even crashes, thereby improving safety and also lowering costs.
