We never quite know what we’re going to get on TikTok (cat videos or home tours), but once in a while, it introduces us to a product we just can’t stop thinking about. That happened recently when one creator posted a video highlighting faux brass shower hooks that attach via suction cup.

Our research led us to this four-pack on Amazon, which is an identical twin if not the very same set from the video and other clips like it. It’s not often that you find a suction cup accessory that can accentuate the other brass fixtures you may have in your bathroom (hues like black and brown are the norm), so we were instantly intrigued. The maker, HOME SO, touts that each hook can hold up to 15 pounds, so it’s got range—use it in the shower for your loofah or right outside for easy access to your favorite robe. But does it really work?
Reviewers on both TikTok and Amazon are torn. Some complained that they fell right away after they installed them, while others noted that they seem to stick better on glass surfaces and if you apply the 3M strip that comes in the package. You’ll want to make sure the surface you’re attaching it to is completely dry, they warn, as any moisture can create a barrier between the wall and the suction cup. And if they do pop off, some people have reported that the brass finish chips off, leaving imperfections.
Still weighing our options, we decided to do a bit more digging on Amazon for additional finds that can make your shower experience even more efficient (and chic).
