Pensacola International Airport replaced its old ticket dispensers and pay-in-lane devices with state-of-the-art LPR equipment. The new system aims to streamline the parking experience by automatically recognizing license plates at entry and exit.

“We are excited to bring these enhancements to our customers," Pensacola International Airport Director of Finance Laura Amentler said. "The seamless LPR system, coupled with the new equipment, will not only increase ease of use but also significantly reduce operating costs.”

The airport says speed is one of the key benefits of the new system.

Transactions will take 3-5 seconds on average, according to the airport.
