The Peptide-ExplorerLT™ is designed for scientists who need to optimize and explore linear peptide synthesis. The product is a high-spec flow chemistry system that uses continuous flow. The product performs similarly to the Peptide-Explorer except for the addition of an automated side chain. This product has two advantages over the Peptide-Explorer: i) it is smaller in size, and ii) it costs less. nanobody generation
The Peptide-ExplorerLT's small footprint is one of its main advantages. Just 107 cm (w), 54 cm (d), and 109 cm (h) of space are needed; these measurements include room for waste and solvent containers.
The Peptide-ExplorerLT version of the peptide explorer produces the same high-purity date-rich synthesis using the same hardware and software as the Peptide-Explorer. However, the extra hardware needed for side chain modification has been replaced, reducing the cost. Customers can, however, upgrade their Peptide-ExplorerLT to a Peptide-Explorer or even a Peptide-Scale-up at any time by buying extra modules.
The system uses Vapourtec's patented variable bed flow reactor (VBFR) technology, which offers rich data from each synthesis, short synthesis times, and the highest crude purity.
The three reactor sizes have maximum working volumes of 4 ml, 9.5 ml, and 21 ml. They offer synthesis scales between 0.05 and 1.0 mmol.
The Peptide-ExplorerLT has a sequence generator and contemporary, user-friendly touch-screen software. If users enter the loading and resin amounts and the alphabetic amino acid sequence, the software will create the best reaction protocol for the peptide, including the best techniques for amino acids prone to cyclization and racemization . It is very easy to set up a synthesis.
The Peptide-ExplorerLT is optimized to deliver exceptional results using the robust and reliable industry-standard Fmoc solid-phase peptide chemistry with DIC and oxyma activation.
The Vapourtec fast-flow solid phase peptide synthesis (FF-SPPS) process produces high-quality real-time data with unprecedented quality and resolution. Aggregation events can be traced back to a specific cycle and a 5-second window that pinpoints the exact moment the aggregation occurred.
Additionally, 100% of the wash solvent flows leaving the reactor are monitored to record UV data. As a result, an AUC calculation using the UV data can be used to determine the actual amount of Fmoc leaving the reactor.
With the Vapourtec PS-30 pilot scale peptide synthesizer, a synthesis optimized at 0.05 mmol can be scaled up to 30 mmol without additional optimization.
GLP-1, for instance, was scaled up from 0.05 to 15 mmol while maintaining the exact crude purities on both scales.
The Peptide-ExplorerLT is optimized for peptide synthesis but can also function as a flow chemistry system for various applications.
The Peptide-ExplorerLT system can achieve fully automated small molecule synthesis by substituting other reactors from Vapourtec's extensive range for the VBFR.
Alternatives include using organometallic reagents and photochemical, electrochemical, and thermally mediated reactions.
